This happens because of the quirks of the lunar calendar meshing with its Gregorian counterpart, if it werent for this the Jewish holiday would have fallen in late September. =) Good for the teachers, now they will have a full prepared week on the 13th, and will spend the 1st day explaining all the rules and class materials.
